WRITER’S POV.
Emeka slumped to the ground, losing consciousness. Meanwhile, Philomena’s hired men stepped out of the car, ready to whisk Emeka away.
Mama Emeka, oblivious to the danger, rushed towards the scene with Emeka’s cellphone. Earlier, Emeka had left his phone on the shop’s counter while assisting his mother with unloading goods.
The salesgirl noticed the forgotten phone and alerted Mama Emeka, who quickly retrieved it and dashed outside, hoping to catch up with Emeka.
Mama Emeka’s eyes widened in horror as she froze, witnessing the three men dragging Emeka’s limp body away. The secluded parking area, tucked away at the market’s edge where Emeka’s car was parked, masked the chaos from prying eyes.
“Philomena, what have you done to my son?” Mama Emeka wailed, rushing towards the men. “What have I ever done to you that you want to destroy everything I hold dear?”
Her voice echoed through the deserted parking lot, filled with desperation and anguish
Just then, Emeka’s phone, still clutched in Mama Emeka’s hand, rang. Madam Cassandra’s number flashed on the screen. With shaking fingers and tear-filled eyes, Mama Emeka answered.
“Madam Cassandra, Philomena’s men took Emeka away!” Mama Emeka wailed.
“Philomena took Emeka?” Madam Cassandra’s tone turned urgent.
“Yes! She wants to kill me,” Mama Emeka’s words dissolved into sobs.
“Stay calm, ma. I’ll handle this. Take care of yourself,” Madam Cassandra reassured before hanging up.

Philomena and her men arrived at her mansion, where they carried the unconscious Emeka to her bedroom. The men gently laid him on the bed and departed, leaving Philomena alone with Emeka.
Philomena rummaged through her bag, producing a small, mysterious black object. She held it delicately, her eyes fixed on Emeka.
Philomena’s eyes gleamed with malice as she stepped back, observing Emeka’s still form. The black object, now returned to her bag, seemed to hold dark power.
Suddenly, Emeka stirred, his eyelids fluttering open. Confusion clouded his gaze, followed by alarm as he took in his surroundings.
“Where am I?” Emeka struggled to sit up, but Philomena’s menacing smile halted his progress.
“You’re exactly where you’re meant to be,” Philomena purred, her voice dripping with venom. “My home, my rules.”
Emeka’s memories began to resurface β his mother’s shop, Philomena’s men, and the struggle.
“What do you want from me?” Emeka demanded, attempting to hide his fear.
Philomena chuckled, her eyes glinting. “You’ll soon discover.”
Philomena’s eyes flashed with sadistic intent. “From now on, you’re my plaything, Emeka. You’ll obey my every command.”
Emeka, still disoriented, struggled to sit up. “Let me go, now, or…”
Philomena sneered, closing in on him. “Or what? You think Madam Cassandra will rescue you this time?”
She produced a small pouch containing a white powder, poised to sprinkle it on Emeka.
But Emeka’s voice rang out, firm and defiant: “I’m a Chosen! I’m a Chosen! I’m a Chosen!”
Just as Philomena’s eyes widened in surprise, the door burst open. A group of rugged, muscular men stormed in, their faces set in stern determination.
Behind them stood Madam Cassandra, her eyes blazing with authority.
“Philomena, your games end non”
Madam Cassandra strode forward, her presence commanding attention. “Philomena, you’ve crossed every line. Emeka, come here.”
Emeka hastily obeyed, relief washing over him as he left Philomena’s grasp.
Philomena’s face contorted with rage. “You think you can save him, Cassandra? He’s mine now.”
Madam Cassandra’s eyes flashed. “Not while I breathe.”
The muscular men moved to surround Philomena, their massive frames intimidating.
“You’re finished, Philomena,” one of them growled.
Philomena snarled, retrieving a small device from her pocket. “We’ll see about that.”
Suddenly, the room filled with a blinding flash, followed by an eerie silence.
When visibility returned, Philomena had vanished.
Madam Cassandra’s expression turned grim. “Emeka, we must leave. Now.”
