    “Papa, Good morning”,

    “Good morning” Moses replied not knowing the person, this was the tenth person that greeted him school that he didn’t recognize but he was apparently well known.

    Kingsley, Olubo and Ugo were seated in the relaxation center, discussing about the coming SUG election, their preferred candidates till Olubo sighted Moses.

    “Guys, look at our President”

    “Your President, not ours”, Ugo also saw him.

    “Guys, let go catch up, I have a plan”, Kingsley grinned.

    “Papa”

    “Papa”

    Papa, Good afternoon o”

    “Good morning Bro Ugo, Bro Olubo and Bro Kingsley”, Moses responded.

    “Are you busy right now?”, Olubo asked.

    “No, I am free, I don’t have any lectures slated for today”.

    “Good, a lot of student are around, we felt we can use this opportunity to do the lord’s work, so I saw you and wanted you to join us” Olubo said righteously while Ugo and Kingsley were trying to bottle their laughter.

    “Sure, I will join, Not evangelism again”, Moses screamed in his mind.

    “Why did I come to school today, why am I even bothered, it is not like I am going to say a word”, Moses hoped not knowing his expectation will be cut short.”

    “Hello sisters, can we have a moment, please, I promise we won’t take much of your time, we just want to share some things with you,” Kingsley stopped six ladies, who listened to him.

    “Alright, the Youth president of Vista Church have something paramount to tell you, Papa Sir,” Kingsley managed to rope in Moses.

    “Enipe!{What did you say}”, Moses subconsciously blurted out, Fortunately, no one heard him.

    “Iru wahala ro niyin bayi {What sort of problem is this}, What will I say,” Moses was thinking of what to say.

    Moses had a problem which he believed was common to most people , his mouth move faster than his brain could process things,

    “What, I, I,” Moses stuttered.

    “I just want to tell you, that you will die”

    “God Forbid!, kinni ni epe {What is the reason for the curse”},” the ladies glared at Moses.

    “No, that is not what I mean,” Moses was sweating profusely.

    “I mean you will die when you live, and live when you die, but death without JESUS is living a death that you will die,”

    The ladies were confused, Kingsley and his friends were also confused.

    “What I am saying?!,”Moses shut up, conclude”, Moses mind was now a mess

    “Just so you know, we live when we die with Jesus, I pray God help you, thank you for giving us your time,” Moses concluded.

    The ladies departed.

    “Papa, we would love to continue but we still have lectures,” Olubo feigned checking his wristwatch.

    “Alright,” Moses was elated to hear the news, at least that would put a stop to the evangelism.

    Kingsley and his cohorts left to an empty lecture room.

    Olubo and Ugo could no longer control their laughter.

    “Bobo yi edaju o {Guy, you are wicked o},” Kingsley was referring to Olubo.

    “Don’t give our papa hypertension o,” Ugo Chuckled.

    “Living a death that you will die, pure nonsense”

    “I,I,I,”Olubo imitated and there was another round of laughter.

    ~~~
    “God, I have been praying for this particular problem for almost a year now and there has been no changes, anytime I go for evangelism I always blurt out nonsense,” Moses groaned praying.
    After praying, Moses decided to meditate on a scripture, that struck a chord in his heart when read it five months back,
    “is not my word like as a fire?, saith the Lord, and like a hammer that breaketh rock in pieces?”.
    “Moses even though you stutter, say confusing words during evangelism, they become like hammer that pounds heart,” He started declaring.
    Meanwhile, couple of weeks later, the Ladies Moses talked too kept hearing his words ringing aloud in their head, coincidentally, they all lived together in the same flat with three rooms.
    “Living a death that you will die, you have been collecting money, expensive gifts from different guys, you are like an Agric fowl that is been fed but will be killed in December,”
    “I can’t bear this anymore o,” One of the ladies shouted.
    “Jesus I am sinking, mercy,” show me mercy, another sobbed.
    “I don’t want to be an Agric fowl,”
    “ Jesus alanu (Jesus show mercy)”
    We all have a choice, we can choose to listen to the voice of God in our heart wanting us to repent or we can choose to ignore but we can only choose one.
    Two of the ladies who hardened their heart, looked at the rest with disdain and left.
    ‘‘I don’t know what is wrong with, Busola and the rest, they are behaving like chickens”
    ‘‘Leave them be, this is going to be my last escapade, I cannot continue,”
    ‘‘Even you Joke, I am surprised, well,
    Fortunately, you decided to follow me, when we collect our pay, you are going to be settled for life,” Salewa Encouraged.
    Joke was having this uneasiness.
    “Joke calm down, this is the last time”, Salewa reaffirmed.
    “Please call Drex tell him we are waiting,” Joke said.
    “On it,” Salewa replied.
    Little did they know their time on earth is about to run out, also Moses didn’t know his words had saved about four lives.
    The moment you have all be waiting for, the Youth President for this tenure is!, maybe I should say it next week”
    “We want to know”
    “Tell us!”, the youth replied.
    The tension was growing and everyone was expectant to hear.
    “The Youth President for this tenure is Moses Babatunde”, the Minister finally declared.
    There was a short moment of silence before the youth screamed.
    “Papa Moses”
    “Papa Moses”
    “Presido”
    The youth gyrated and the overzealous ones carried him on their shoulders.
    Even though nobody was expecting Moses to be the Youth President, the youths were genuinely happy not because they really knew Moses but because they had a new President.
    They would also be this excited if anybody was made the President, truly, the glory of the youth lies in their strength.
    “Can we please call on our daddy in this house to pray for the new elected executives”, The minister called on the lead Pastor to pray for the excos and the hand over service came to an end.
    “Congratulations, Papa, we knew you were going to be the President”
    Some youth flattered Moses and felicitated with the newly selected executives of the church.
    “How can they make Moses the President?, how could they?, the sacrifices that I have made”, Kingsley who was in the midst of his two friends was furious at the church decision.
    A 200 level currently entering 300 level, made the President of the youths!, where on earth is it done?”, Olubo was also displeased.
    “When I say this our church is local, you guys will be supporting it, Now, can you see for yourselves?”, Ugo hissed.
    “Don’t worry, we will show him hell”, Kingsley swore.
    Kingsley and his friends forgot the real essence of service in the house of God, Kingsley was serving God with the hope of one day becoming the Youth President, for when he was still a fresher, he loved the prestige that came from being the Youth President.
    That shifted his gaze away from Jesus, he was working for God, for a reason that is not Jesus and this was when he started getting it all wrong. if Jesus is not the reason for your services in church, but a way of building connections or getting promotions, you are building your house on sand.
    ~~~

    “God, what is all this?, I wanted to just do your work, this is just too much, should I leave the church?”, Moses contemplated because he didn’t want to be the Youth President.

    “I just want to serve you but this position might be a distraction, this what I will do, I will jump boats but before I do that, I will have to change hostel”, Moses was still thinking, then he heard a knock at the door.

    “Good evening Pastor”

    “Good evening Papa Moses”, Pastor Samuel tapped Moses shoulder and entered his room.

    “You can have your seat sir”, Moses removed his books from the only chair in the room.

    “Thank you, Moses, I know what are you thinking, you are planning on changing church, right?”, Pastor Samuel laughed.

    “Yes sir”, Moses was not surprised because Pastor Samuel, he is you know, a Pastor and he gets to know things.

    “Moses, Remember, God would not give you a task, you can’t handle, have you forgotten his word says “my grace is sufficient for you”.

    “I know sir, but I cannot eloquent and this position my shift my gaze from Jesus, E ru ba a mi sir(I am scared sir)”, Moses sighed.

    “Moses, don’t be scared, the reason God made you the Youth President is not because of the youth in this University but something else, I feel evangelical work but that is a discussion for another day, just trust God to help you”, Pastor Samuel said.

    “I trust God to help me”, Moses finally decided to take the bull by the horns.

    “Let me pray with you”, Moses knelt while Pastor Samuel prayed laying his hands on Moses.
